just a brief test, needs a lot of fettling. I have 2 sets of carbs, 1 standard jetting.........this is my back up. Current set up a little wild. special adapted needle nozzles from cbr640f-h Leon Moss stage 3, matching neeldles, first set to 1.5 mm raised needle position( needles use spacers to raise or lower).Huge 150 main jets....may be too big.
airbox on with filter.........tried without filter engine would'nt rev passed 4000 while static......hmmmmmm.....would rev with restriction over the trumpets so put the entire filter on , sealed box again just witht he snorkle area removed....revved fine.
load test....would take off well but huge flat spot 3500-5000. turned pilots out 1 turn...not much....then think between 3000-8000k is where the needle jet works.....so raise the needles to 2.5mm from base of needle.
But all this messing about is fruitless because after all this I realised I hadn't tightened up any of the inlet rubber clamps.......!!
start again.....get proper track arranged....going to be difficult as now back at work.
